Record 21 races in 2012 season
Formula One has decided on the 2012 race calender and a record 21 races will take place in the next year's edition with the United States being included in the list of venues.

Formula One has decided on the 2012 race calender and a record 21 races will take place in the next year's edition with the United States being included in the list of venues.
While the Indian Grand Prix, which has been shifted to December this year, will take place in October in 2012, Austin in Texas will host the American leg of the competition after signing a 10-year deal. Turkey has also been included on a provisional basis though the venue was earlier dropped dur to a lack of fan interest amongst few other reasons.
The action will begin in Bahrain, which was recently given the green signal to host the ongoing season's race, oin March and will culminate in Brazil in November.
The calender for the 2012 season is as follows:
