Police say they are investigating whether Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton broke New Zealand law by filming himself with a mobile phone while riding a motorcycle. (Read More in Formula 1)
Hamilton, who is visiting New Zealand before traveling to the Australian F1 Grand Prix, posted two videos to social media, both taken from close range, apparently showing him riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle on an Auckland motorway.

It has been illegal in New Zealand to use a mobile phone while driving a vehicle since 2009.
A police spokesman was quoted by the New Zealand Herald as saying authorities would "take a strong stance on any activity which places undue risk on the lives on any person on the road."
