Legendary Formula One driver Michael Schumacher is receiving the best medical treatment money can buy. After a tragic skiing accident last December that put him in coma, the 45-year-old spent months in a French hospital before being transferred to  a custom-built clinic in his Swiss mansion in Gland. And the weekly medical bill there reportedly comes close to 100,000 pounds a week.

Built at a cost of 45 million pounds, the state-of-the-art clinic sits next to Schumacher's 40-bedroom mansion. While the residence has 40 bedrooms- apart from several cinema halls and a helipad, the clinic itself is an elegant yet sophisticated facility which was designed specifically to treat Schumacher.

UK's DailyMail reports that the clinic is serviced by a 15-member medical team who work on a round-the-clock basis. Every member -  doctors, physiotherapists, nutritionists, nurses and neurological experts - has been specifically trained in Laussane to take care of the iconic sportsperson.

In addition to the medical professionals, there are several other caretakers as well. The tight security officials ensure no cameras, cellphones and recording devices are permitted inside the premises.

While medical professionals and caretakers do their best to look after Schumacher, wife Corina has also put her trust in god.

The report claims that a gold cross - given to son Mick by Schumacher eight years ago - rests on the bedside table where there are other good luck charms and message cards from relatives as well.
