Formula One World champion, Lewis Hamilton is expected to sign a new contract with Mercedes later this week. Hamilton, who is believed to have handled negotiations with team bosses himself, has revealed that the deal is '99 per cent' done.
"It should be done this week. There is no reason it shouldn't. Honestly, it's 99.6% done. There's no negotiating left, it's just legal stuff," said Hamilton, whose current contract will expire at the end of the current season.
The two-time world champion, who had joined Mercedes after a six-year spell with McLaren, is likely to sign a contract worth more than £27m-a-year ($40m).
