Uruguay football legend Luis Cubilla dead at 72
Legendary Uruguayan footballer and coach Luis Cubilla has died from stomach cancer at the age of 72, family members said.

Legendary Uruguayan footballer and coach Luis Cubilla has died from stomach cancer at the age of 72, family members said.
In a long and colourful career, the speedy winger played for Penarol in his native country, Barcelona in Spain and River Plate in Argentina before returing home to play for Nacional.
He also played for his country in three World Cups in 1962, 1970 and 1974 and overall won 38 caps scoring 11 goals.
Cubilla then turned his hand to coaching and he led Olimpia Asuncion to 10 league titles in Paraguay before winning honours in Uruguay and Colombia as well as two Libertadores Cups and one Intercontinental Cup.
