It was yet another hectic, and exciting, 'transfer season' at the English shores that came to an end on August 31. The last day saw some deadline-deals being cut, many pre-meditated as well quite a few frantic ones too. We take a look through transfer window to see how it spaced out and who landed up where.
Robin van Persie
August is 'the' month for this Dutchman. Born in it 29 years ago, he also made the Arsenal captain a year ago in the same month. And, incidentally, his debut for Manchester United had to be in August too. Crossing over to Sir Alex Fergusson's stable with a reported fee £24 million for four years, he is already proving his moolah's worth. And with Wayne Rooney sidelined with an injury, van Persie suddenly finds himself as United's main-man upfront.
Lucas Podolski
Arsenal was, for at least the entire last season, a one-man army. And with that man - RvP - wearing red tee now, Arsene Wenger couldn't have felt having sealed this transfer. The very-talented German playmaker joins from Cologne for an undisclosed fee and have surely get the Gunners fans excited once again to back their team's chances in the Premier League this season.
Oliver Giroud
The Gunners need players, no doubt, and they are getting them. Latest on the rolls in French international Oliver Giroud who crosses over from Ligue 1 club Montpellier. After helping his French club side finish as champions last season, Wenger will be banking on him to join forces with Podolski to and continue his goal scoring spree.
Alex Song
He wanted to "win something" after seven unfruitful years at Arsenal, and so a £15 million move over to Barcelona for five years. What more, he even has former Holloway-mate Cesc Fabregas there for company, whom he's banking on to get settled at Camp Nou - a place that song has dreamt of since his childhood days.
Karim El Ahmadi
He comes from a club that had given a certain Robin van Persie to English football eight seasons ago. And Ahmadi will be looking recreate the same magic at Aston Villa that led the Holland club, Feynoord, to finish second to Ajax in the league last season. The Morocco international comes in for an undisclosed fee and will man the midfield for Paul Lambert.
Eden Hazard
If you have shoes the size of Didier Drogba to fill in, you got to someone who either a star already, or who's can seriously shape up as one. And someone who's already got people talking is Belgian Eden Hazard. Coming from the French side Lille at a reported fee of £ 170,000 per week, Chelsea's Champions League triumph had apparently prompted Hazard to make the move. Only time will tell how hazardous this 21-year-old be for the other EPL giants.
Marko Marin
The German midfielder crossed over to Chelsea for an undisclosed transfer fee from Werder Bremen. Though he is yet to featureThe 23-year-old has often been dubbed as the 'German Messi' and will look to live up to his top billing in for the Blues.
Oscar
Roberto Di Matteo seems to be flooded with options this season, especially after adding Oscar to his attacking-midfielder bracket. The 20-year-old comes from country club Internacional for a reported transfer fee £25 million - an offer that was "too good" to refuse by his own admission - and was part of Brazil's silver medal winning effort at the Olympics in London.
Dimitar Berbatov
Let's accept it, he may have fallen out of favour of Sir Fergusson, but Dimitar Berbatov did whatever he could for Manchester United in the four seasons that he donned the red jersey. So he was happy to re-unite with his old boss Matin Jol at Fulham on a four-year contract. At 31, Berbatov deserves this happiness, especially after bagging the League's Golden Boot award just one season ago.
Fabio Borini
Liverpool desperately need people who can strike hard, and so a deal worth £10.5 million for years to Italian striker Fabio Borini. The Roma player has netted nine goals in his 24 appearances for the Seria A club last season, and is expected to do what Andy Cahill couldn't at the Anfield.
Jack Rodwell
Manchester City didn't have a very transfer season, as Roberto Mancini mostly held on to his League winning combinations. But in order to solidify the own-half strength, Jack Rodwell was brought in from Everton with a reported fee of £12 million for five years. The England international has already featured in City's two matches this season.
Scott Sinclair
The 23-year-old comes with an experience of eight years in the Premier League and a reported fee of £6.2 million for four years. The Swansea winger had 82 appearances with 28 goals in his last two season at the club.
Shinji Kagawa
Manchester United never fails to look east ward given a chance, and this time it's Japan international Shinji Kagawa. With a reported fee of £12 million, the Dortmund Borussia has been instrumental in the German clubs campaign in the last season and is likely to fill in for Park Ji-sung at the Old Trafford.
Nick Powell
Another teen-prodigy lapped up by Sir Alex? Well, only time will tell whether this England U-18 has the becoming of another Wayne Rooney. For now, former Crewe player Nick Powell is looking to graduate into bigger scheme of things as he waits to don the red jersey for the next four years.
Park Ji-sung
Queens Park Rangers hopes to get their brand a global recognition, something that even Manchester United had - and quite successfully done - with Park Ji-sung seven seasons ago. The South Korean international moves on to this London team for two years for a reported fee of £2 million. Escaping relegation by a whisker in the last season, QPR will look up to Ji-sung to bring in his seven-year experience from the Old Trafford.
Emmanuel Adebayor
He had spent most of the last season on loan here, and has finally joined Tottenham. The former Manchester City player has moved to the White Hart Lane on an undisclosed sum, but the club has reportedly 'not broken' his previous pay of £175,000. Adebayor had spent three years at the City.
Big boys out
Nigel de Jong
A three-year deal saw Manchester City defender Nigel de Jong moving over to Italian giants AC Milan this season.
Michael Essien
It's confirmed and Essien is leaving for Real Madrid on loan for this season. It was Jose Mourinho who had brought Essien to Chelsea seven years ago and the reunion only a too happy one.
Rafael van der Vaart
Another happy flight to 'home' as Tottenham striker Rafael van der Vaart moves to his former club Humburg this season, who play their 50th year in Bundesliga.
Andy Caroll
He was expected to fill in the gap left by Fernando Torres at the Liverpool, but saw a disappointing last season prompting the club to loan him to West Ham this season.
