Tottenham midfielder Wilson Palacios will be sidelined for three weeks after surgery on a knee injury suffered in training.
The 26-year-old alerted Tottenham's medical staff to the problem following Wednesday's 0-0 draw with AC Milan in the Champions League and the Honduras international underwent a minor operation on Saturday.
"Wilson Palacios has undergone an arthroscopy on his right knee today (Saturday)," a statement on Spurs' website confirmed.
"The Honduras international midfielder is expected to be sidelined for up to three weeks."
Palacios has played 30 times this season, his most recent appearance being Tottenham's 3-1 defeat at Blackpool two and a half weeks ago.
He will miss Tottenham's Premier League matches against West Ham and his former club Wigan, but should have recovered in time for the first leg of the club's Champions League quarterfinal - the draw for which is made next Friday.
