Coach Inaki Saez was a relieved man after Spain booked their place at next year's European Championship with 3-0 win over Norway. A 34th-minute strike from captain Raul and second-half goals by wingers Vicente and Joseba Etxeberria gave Spain a 5-1 aggregate playoff win and ended to a week of criticism from the Spanish media. Saez said he had endured the most stressful week of his life as the knives came out following his side's 2-1 win in the first leg in Valencia. For Saez, Spain's comprehensive victory is set to bring the added bonus of a contract extension.
