Sao Paulo signs Jorge Wagner

Brazilian champion Sao Paulo acquired midfielder Jorge Wagner from Spain's Real Betis and signed him through the end of 2007.

Brazilian champion Sao Paulo acquired midfielder Jorge Wagner from Spain's Real Betis and signed him through the end of 2007. Wagner, whose full name is Jorge Wagner Goes Conceicao, is expected to arrive at the Brazilian club by the end of the week, Sao Paulo said on Wednesday on its website. Financial details were not disclosed. The 28-year-old Brazilian previously played for Corinthians, Internacional and Russia's Lokomotiv Moscow. Sao Paulo, a four-time Brazilian champion, has 10 points from four matches in the Sao Paulo state championship. It hosts Santo Andre at Morumbi stadium on Thursday.
