Real Madrid were held to a 0-0 draw at Racing Santander on Wednesday, the first time the Spanish power has played successive games without a win since the arrival of coach Jose Mourinho.
Madrid looked as sluggish as they did when losing to Levante on Sunday, failing to create a clear scoring chance before halftime. Mourinho sent on Angel Di Maria, Kaka and Gonzalo Higuain in the second half, but Racing held on.
Radamel Falcao scored twice to lead Atletico Madrid to a 4-0 win over Sporting Gijon, Malaga edged Athletic Bilbao 1-0 and Levante downed Rayo Vallecano 2-1.
