Bogota, Colombia:
Ricardo Ciciliano scored twice as Millonarios of Colombia upset Brazilian champion Sao Paolo 2-0 on Wednesday to advance to the semifinals of the Copa Sudamericana.
Ciciliano broke open the cautious, back-and-forth play and found the net in the 77th and 82nd minutes - the first an unstoppable, no-bounce volley shot off a centering pass from just inside the area.
Cars throughout Colombia's capital honked their horns in celebration when the final whistle blew.
In the previous match, Millonarios, which is struggling in the bottom half of the standings in Colombia's local tournament - stunned Sao Paulo 1-0 in Brazil.
Millonarios must now await the outcome on Thursday of another quarterfinal match between Argentina's River Plate and Uruguay's Defensor to see who it meets in the semifinals.
