Mexico City:
Bolivian Jaime Moreno put DC United up 1-0 at 35 minutes with an impressive bicycle kick.
But it took Guadalajara only six minutes to tie the score, when Adolfo Bautista scored off an excellent pass from Alberto Medina.
Pineda pushed in the winning goal on a long shot that appeared to slip out of the hands of DC goalkeeper Troy Perkins.
"I got lucky. The ball slipped out of his hands, but I tried. To win the lottery you have to buy a ticket," Pineda said.
The Chivas will face the winner of the semifinals match between fellow Mexican squad Pachuca and the Houston Dynamo, which won the first leg of the matchup 2-0.
