Cairo:
Egypt held on to beat Cameroon 3-2 in their World Cup qualifier in Cairo on Sunday.
It was a valuable win for under-fire coach Marco Tardelli.
The Pharaohs looked to be heading for a straight forward victory over the Group Three leaders when Tarek El Sayed put them 3-0 up in the 89th minute.
In a breathless period, Barcelona's Samule Eto'o then struck twice for Cameroon in time added on at the end of the game. But it was not enough as Egypt clung on. (AP)
