Delfouneso in Burnley loan deal

Aston Villa striker Nathan Delfouneso has joined Championship side Burnley on loan in a bid to find regular first team football, it was confirmed on Tuesday.

Promising 20-year-old Delfouneso has had to get used to life on the sidelines at Villa this season, particularly since the January transfer signing of England striker Darren Bent.

Now Delfouneso has opted to sign for the Clarets until the end of the season as the Championship outfit mount a late season push for promotion.

Delfouneso is a regular pick for England Under-21s, with many tipping him for promotion to the senior team in future.
