Mexico City:
Marvin Cabrera dribbled round a defender and smashed in a left-footed goal in the 82nd minute for visiting Pachuca to draw Guadalajara 2-2 in the first leg of the Champions Cup finals on Wednesday.
After Juan Carlos Cacho gave Pachuca an early lead, striker Omar Bravo scored in the 43rd and 66th minutes to put Chivas in front.
The second leg will be in Pachuca on April 25.
Cacho hammered in Andres Chitiva's pass in the 21st minute.
Bravo equalized two minutes before halftime when he outpaced Pachuca defenders and whacked in a curling left-footer.
His second goal came when Ramon Morales sped down the left wing and hit a stunning cross into the center of the penalty area, where the unmarked Bravo deflected it in.
Guadalajara's celebrations were cut short in the last 10 minutes, however, with Cabrera's goal.
