Frank Rijkaard remains hopeful that Barcelona can steal the Primera Liga title from Real Madrid ahead of the final round of matches.

With Real Madrid equal on points, but leading due to a better head-to-head record, Barca must win their game and also hope that Real slip up at home to Mallorca.

Barcelona FC trained on Friday ahead of the final round of matches in La Liga.

Frank Rijkaard's side face already-relegated Gimnastic in nearby Tarragona on Sunday.

They are level on points with arch-rivals Real Madrid, but trail with an inferior head-to-head record.

So in order to win the championship for the third successive season, the Catalans must beat Gimnastic, and also hope that Real Madrid slip up at home to mid-table Real Mallorca.

Rijkaard joined his opposite number from Gimnastic, Paco Flores, at the Nou Estadi in Tarragona later on Friday.

With Barca knowing that a win will be enough if Real Madrid draw or lose, Rijkaard remains positive.
