United Sikkim FC geared up for the upcoming Durand Cup by winning their state league in Gangtok on Saturday.
According to information received here, the Baichung Bhutia-owned side emerged champions beating Sikkim Police 3-1 in the SFA Senior Division S-League to finish on top in the eight-team league that had begun August 20.
Both the teams were locked on 18 points heading into the final round but the USFC won it in style, capping seven victories from as many matches.
USFC next travel to the capital for the upcoming Durand Cup.
