Gangtok:
Defending champions Mohun Bagan will take on underdogs Arambagh Krira Chakra of Bangladesh in the final of the 23rd All India Governor's Gold Cup football tournament at the Baichung Bhutia Stadium in South Sikkim's Namchi tomorrow.
Bagan, seven times winners, bank more on a tactical game with their players' experience and technical skill compared to Arambagh's robust and physical football.
As Brazillian striker Jose Barreto, who scored three goals in two matches, will look for opportunities to improve his tally in the tournament, his compatriot Amauri Dassilva will be in the defence to thwart Bangladeshi attacks. Nigerian Sereki and veteran R C Prakash will add thrust to the Bagan forward line.
For the Bangla outfit, their two key players -- Mohd Arman and Mohd Saiful Islam Saif -- would have to sit out of the final as they had been penalised in the previous matches. So the Arambagh team will have to find out a partner for striker Hanif Pradhan who scored a brace in the semi-final against the All Nepal Football Association XI. (PTI)
