Atletico Madrid are keen to sign Bayern Leverkusen's Chilean international Arturo Vidal this summer, a Spanish newspaper said on Monday.
The versatile 23-year-old, who can play in defence or in midfield, "would welcome a move to Atletico, although his focus is currently on the Bundesliga," the Madrid-based sports daily AS said.
Vidal, signed in 2007 from Chilean club Colo-Colo, has helped Leverkusen to second place in Germany's premier division.
AS said that Bayern Munich and Milan are among the clubs also interested in signing him.
Atletico are in eighth place in Spain's Primera Liga, 36 points behind leaders Barcelona and with their pre-season target of Champions League football out of sight.
