AC Milan lifts Champions League Cup

AC Milan won the Champions League for the sixth time on Wednesday, beating fellow Italian club Juventus 3-2 on penalties at Old Trafford in Manchester, England. The two sides finished 0-0 after extra time. The centre of Milan was soon filled with jubilant fans, who converged on the main square to celebrate their team's sixth Champions League triumph. Winner in 1963, '69, 89, 90 and '94, Milan edged the 27-time Series A champion in a tense shootout in which five penalties were missed. Only Spain's Real Madrid with nine has won more titles. (AP)
