Arjuna Ranatunga: When will the administrators involved in betting be banned?
Former World Cup-winning Sri Lankan skipper Arjuna Ranatunga was part of a panel discussion in New Delhi last weekend that deliberated on the pros and cons of legalising betting. Ranatunga said it was very easy to ban players but administrators who were allegedly involved largely went unpunished. Justice Mukul Mudgal, who is heading a Supreme Court-appointed committee to probe corruption in Indian Premier League 2013, feels betting should be legalised to limit the role of unscrupulous bookies.
