c Travis Head b Cameron Green
5.4 OUT! CAUGHT! Soft, soft dismissal and just when George Munsey looked dangerous, he has to depart. Cameron Green keeps the length fairly short and bangs it in around off, the line is tight and Munsey gets a bit cramped for room. Munsey gets on his toes and tries to angle the ball wide of short third but ends up nurdling it straight into the hands of Travis Head there and the fielder makes no mistake. Munsey departs after a quickfire 25 (17). 52/2

Ollie Hairs | 12 | 8 | 1 | 1 | 150 |
b Aaron Hardie
2.2 OUT! DRAGGED ON! The leg stump goes for a walk! Aaron Hardie with the first strike for Australia. Hardie stays over the wicket and hurls it on a good length, on the sixth stump line. Ollie Hairs moves to the leg side to give himself room and swings to hoist this one big on the leg side. Fails to get the desired room to get the shot away and ends up getting an inside edge that goes on to uproot the leg pole. 18/1

Brandon McMullen | 56 | 39 | 3 | 3 | 143.58 |
c Travis Head b Marcus Stoinis
16.4 OUT! CAUGHT! Plucked that one out of thin air did Travis Head and he doffs his cap to soak in the applause and rightly so. Marcus Stoinis rolls his fingers over this one and bowls it short around off stump. Brandon McMullen does well to get low and inside the line of the ball and looks to hoick it over short fine leg but doesn't find much elevation. Still, it seems to be going over but Head just leaps up and reaches out with his right hand to grab a stunning catch. McMullen cannot believe it and he has to depart for a well-made 56 (39). 138/6

Richie Berrington C | 8 | 9 | 1 | 0 | 88.88 |
b Cameron Green
8.1 OUT! BOWLED'EM! A cracker-jack of a delivery from Cameron Green and Richie Berrington is left dumbfounded there. Green comes back into the attack and just strides in before serving the ball on a hard length and outside the line of the off stump. Green gets the ball to nip back in a long way after pitching and the ball goes through the gate and knocks over the top of the middle and leg stump. Berrington cannot believe it and Scotland lose their third wicket. 67/3
|
|||||
Matthew Cross Wk | 7 | 13 | 1 | 0 | 53.84 |
b Adam Zampa
11.1 OUT! TIMBER! Adam Zampa gets in on the act now! Zampa pushes it through, on a nagging length and this skids through, around the leg pole. Matthew Cross premeditates as he backs away and then shapes up to cut it through the off side. The ball is not that short enough and it scoots under the bat to clatter into the leg stump. Scotland lose their fourth wicket. 82/4
|
|||||
Michael Leask | 13 | 7 | 1 | 1 | 185.71 |
c Tim David b Sean Abbott
13.4 OUT! TAKEN! Doesn't get all of it this time and Tim David takes a fine catch to send Michael Leask packing. Sean Abbott bowls another heavy short ball, into the pitch and around off stump. Leask makes room to the leg side and looks to club it over long on but gets it off the toe end of the bat. The ball goes flat and down towards the long on fielder but David does well to dive in front and take it with both hands. Just when Scotland were in the ascendancy, they lose another wicket. 112/5

Mark Watt | 18 | 12 | 1 | 1 | 150 |
c Jake Fraser-McGurk b Cameron Green
19.2 OUT! CAUGHT! That is a fine, fine take in the deep from Jake Fraser-McGurk and what seemed like a likely collision has turned out to be a very calm catch. Cameron Green digs it into the deck again and over the stumps, Mark Watt has a swing across the line and connects this time but there's not much timing on it. The ball seems to land between deep square leg and deep mid-wicket and fielders from both areas run across. However, Jake is the one who slides to his left from mid-wicket and calmly pouches it with both hands as Sean Abbott manages to avoid contact with him. 146/9

|||||
Jack Jarvis | 3 | 3 | 0 | 0 | 100 |
c Mitchell Marsh b Sean Abbott
17.3 OUT! CAUGHT! Another one bites the dust and Scotland keep on losing wickets at crucial junctures. Sean Abbott serves this one on a hard length and just wide of the off stump. Jack Jarvis makes a bit of room and looks to open up the off side but ends up skewing it high around the cover region. Mitchell Marsh there walks back and takes a fine reverse cup catch while falling over. 143/7
|
|||||
Chris Sole | 2 | 7 | 0 | 0 | 28.57 |
b Aaron Hardie
18.5 OUT! KNOCKED HIM OVER! Aaron Hardie with the cross-seamer now, bowled on a hard length around off, this one not only nips back in but stays a bit low as well. Chris Sole stays in his crease and winds up for the big swipe across the line but ends up being beaten all ends up. The ball goes on to knock the off stump out of the ground and Scotland are now 146/8! 146/8

c George Munsey b Brad Currie
3.2 OUT! TAKEN! Twice in two days now that Brad Currie has got the wicket of Travis Head and Scotland are well and truly in the contest for now. Currie keeps the length pretty full but just floats this one up a bit and wide of the off stump. Travis Head reaches out and looks to launch it over long on but gets a top edge that goes over mid on. George Munsey there back-tracks and takes a fine tumbling catch to send the dangerman packing. 18/2

Jake Fraser-McGurk | 4 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
c Brandon McMullen b Brad Currie
1.2 OUT! CAUGHT! What a catch and Jake Fraser-McGurk simply cannot catch a break as he departs for a second duck of the series. Brad Currie keeps the length short and angles it across the off stump, Jake stays on the back foot and slaps the ball away, flat and low of the man behind point. Brandon McMullen there dives front and across to his left and grabs it with both hands. Is there anything this man cannot do? Doesn't seem like it. 2/1

b Jack Jarvis
9.2 OUT! DRAGGED ON! Instant impact from Jack Jarvis! The ball nips back in slightly, enough to cramp Marsh for room. The ball catches the inside edge and crashes into the stumps. Marsh goes for 31 (23). Australia are now 79/3, requiring 71 runs from 64 balls. 79/3

14.2 OUT! TAKEN! Finally, something to cheer for the Scottish crowd who were kept quiet for quite a while. Off-pace delivery from Sole, on a nagging length, on off. Tim David sets himself up for the pull but gets deceived by the slowness of the delivery. Skies it high in the air towards deep square leg where Jack Jarvis settles under it by running a bit to his left and takes the catch. 131/4
