Kane Richardson comes back into the attack and begins with a length ball that is angled well across the left-hander. Carey steps down the track and lofts it high and towards the cover fence. Corey Rocchiccioli bowls this quicker, on middle, Adam Hose skips down the track to heave it away, but mistimes it this time and fails to get the power. Fawad Ahmed slows it up again, on off, Colin de Grandhomme tries to slog it through the line, but has to reach for it a bit and cannot get the required power. 16.4 OUT! CAUGHT! Fawad Ahmed picks up his third wicket of the night and Adelaide Strikers lose their fifth. This is nicely tossed up on middle and leg and turning away. It is slower through the air as well and Ryan Gibson has a big slog across the line and against the turn. The ball goes off the outer half of the bat and lobs up around cover-point. This is slower and shorter around off, Cameron Boyce dabs it toward backward point and looks for one but is sent back. The fielder there misses the shy at the striker's end and they do run for the overthrow. This time it is Boyce who is struggling to get to the non-striker's end and the throw from Wells is inch perfect as the bails are dislodged simultaneously with Kane Richardson collecting the ball. 0.3 OUT! TAKEN! Matthew Short has the last laugh here and Martin Guptill's poor run continues. Short flighted it up around off stump and Guptill gets down on one knee to slog it away. The ball is hit miles up in the air but it isn't long enough. Adam Hose at deep mid-wicket keeps his eyes on the ball and almost makes a meal of it as he pouches it down to his left. Hose hangs on and Adelaide Strikers have an early breakthrough. 8/1

1.1 OUT! TAKEN! Straight to the man and Shaun Marsh cannot believe it. Wes Agar bowls it short and wide again and it is begging to be hit. Marsh rocks back and slaps it flat toward point. Ryan Gibson there takes a sharp catch around his chest and Agar is ecstatic. Marsh walks back for a duck and Melbourne Renegades are in early trouble here. 14/2

2.1 OUT! LBW! Peter Siddle seems to have trapped Sam Harper in front of the stumps on the very first delivery and the finger is raised. Harper takes a late review and the third umpire is called in yet again. Nothing on IUltraEdge and Ball Tracking shows the impact as umpire's call and the wickets are hitting. Coming onto the ball, this is on a nagging length in that channel around off and the ball seams back in nicely as well. Harper gets caught on the crease and fails to get any bat on it and has to walk back now. Melbourne Renegades in a spot of huge bother now. 16/3

12 OUT! RUN OUT! That is poor cricket from Matt Critchley and Melbourne Renegades and Adelaide Strikers have the breakthrough they wanted. Back of a length around off, Critchley dabs it down to third man with soft hands and calls for two straightaway. Critchley is very slow to turn and almost runs into the bowler and has to put in the despearaqte dive. Cameron Boyce comes in from third man and fires it in at the striker's end. Alex Carey whips off the bails and the replays show that Critchley is well short. 85/4
