Veteran spinner Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin were not included in the first Test due to team combination decisions.
Both Ravindra Jadeja and R Ashwin, who have a cumulative wickets tally of 855, were dropped from the playing XI in the opening Test against Australia.
