Shahbaz Ahmed Profile

Born in the state of Haryana in India, Shahbaz Ahmed is an all-rounder trying to make his mark in the Indian domestic circuit. Shahbaz Ahmed represents the Bengal team in the FC cricket and has made headway with some consistent performances on the domestic front. A left-handed batsman and a slow left-arm orthodox bowler, he has been an asset for Bengal.

Possessing a healthy batting average in all formats while also being economical with the ball in his hand, Ahmed has been a regular feature in his domestic team. Ahmed made his List A debut for Bengal against Jammu and Kashmir in the 2018/19 Vijay Hazare Trophy in September 2018. His First-Class debut followed soon when he played against Hyderabad in the Ranji Trophy in December 2018. His T20 debut came in February 2019 when he made his bow against Haryana.

Ahmed has had a rapid rise as just about a year later after making his domestic debut, he was named in India A's squad for the 2019/20 Deodhar Trophy. Shahbaz was also bought by the Bangalore-based franchise in the 2020 Indian T20 League auction. It took him time to establish himself in the regular XI and in 2022, he left his impact with both bat and ball. Seeing his progress and utility, Shahbaz was included in the Indian ODI squad touring Zimbabwe in 2022, as a replacement for injured Washington Sundar.
