Gurjapneet Singh, a promising left-arm medium-fast bowler from India, is steadily making his mark in the domestic cricket circuit. Known for his ability to swing the ball both ways, Singh has been a vital cog in Tamil Nadu's bowling lineup in the Ranji Trophy. His standout performance came against Saurashtra, where he claimed six wickets for just 22 runs, showcasing his potential to dismantle batting line-ups with precision and skill. With a bowling average of 19.69 in first-class cricket, Singh has demonstrated his knack for taking crucial wickets, making him a player to watch in the coming seasons.


Despite being relatively new to the professional scene, Singh's performances in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy have been noteworthy. He has taken nine wickets in five matches, with an impressive economy rate of 9.82, underlining his ability to maintain pressure in the shortest format. But his comeback was stronger as in 2023, Singh was acquired by the Siechem Madurai Panthers where he took 15 wickets in the season. Once a net-bowler for the CSK franchise, Gurjapneet was finally picked by the yellow brigade for the 2025 IPL season, following a bidding war between a few franchises in the auction leading to the season.
