Dear, lord... Talk about a real thriller, eh? Pune are back to winning ways and have climbed to the number 4 spot. Really need to take a break from all these heart stoppers. Can take a breather but not for long, 'cause tomorrow we have another one for you. Bangalore take on Hyderabad at home and it starts at 2000 local (1430 GMT). Do join us for it. Till then, cheers!
Man of the Match, Ben Stokes says that is going quite well with the ball. Though, he's disappointed with his performance with the bat. Applauds his guys for playing really well. Reckons that his slower balls are coming off nicely and the pitches are conducive to it. Mentions that this is his first outing in this tournament and he is enjoying a lot.
Pune skipper, Steven Smith says he's happy with the win and credits his boys for performing well under pressure. Mentions that the wicket played the same over 40 overs and the ground conditions were better than he expected. Adds that they kept picking wickets through the middle period and that worked for them. (On what he told Jaydev Unadkat before the last over) Replies he told him to back himself and it was great that he got that wicket which helped them get over the line.
Mumbai skipper, Rohit Sharma says that it is disappointing to lose after getting so close. Feels dejected by the fact that he could not finish it. Applauds his bowlers for restricting the Pune batsmen under 160. Reckons that the pitch was dry and the spinners from both sides bowled really well. Praises both his spinners for bowling well. Mentions that they will want to forget this game and concentrate on the future games. Appreciates Jaydev Unadkat for his brilliant last over and says that picking up a wicket on the first ball always helps. Ends by saying that he tried but is really disappointed to not finish things off.
Mumbai will feel disappointed they couldn't get over the line. They were cruising at one point when Rohit Sharma (who completed his fifty) and Kieron Pollard were smashing it around. But, as it has been the case in most games, one wicket can change the complexion of the entire game and that's what happened to the hosts today. It's a bump in the road for them, something they'll like to forget and put behind them.
With a score of 160 to defend, Pune came out and bowled beautifully right from the start. They got the wickets up top and cramped Mumbai for room in the middle. The Rohit-Pollard partnership seemed like it would take Mumbai home, but the West Indian's dismissal turned the game on its head. And special mention has to be given to Ben Stokes for his stupendous bowling performance. He kept things tight and bagged 2 wickets and showed up at the big moments. Jaydev Unadkat too was a little expensive but he bowled a brilliant last over and the spinners, Imran Tahir and Washington Sundar, were instrumental in keeping the run flow in check.
A big, big victory for Pune! They're back to winning ways and have got their third win on the trot. What will make this sweeter is the fact that they've beaten Mumbai at the Wankhede Stadium and won both the derby matches. Brilliant stuff!

Jaydev Unadkat To Harbhajan Singh
SIX! That's hit away into the stands but it's come too late. Harbhajan Singh heaves this length ball over wide long on for a maximum. But, it's the visiting team that has emerged victorious here. PUNE WIN BY 3 RUNS!
Mitchell Johnson is the next man in.

Jaydev Unadkat To Harbhajan Singh OUT!
OUT! RUN OUT! Another wicket now. Fuller delivery outside off, Harbhajan Singh drills it through the covers. Ben Stokes out in the deep gets to the ball and fires a throw at the bowler's end. The batsmen are off for the second run and Unadkat takes the bails off. Replays show McClenaghan to be well short of the crease. If no illegal deliveries are bowled, Pune will win this game.
The umpire has gone upstairs to check a run out appeal against McClenaghan.
Mitchell McClenaghan walks out to replace Rohit Sharma!

Jaydev Unadkat To Rohit Sharma OUT!
OUT! Pune can feel this coming to them, they can just taste it. It's right there, they know it, they're almost there. This could be big. Back of a length outside off, Rohit Sharma goes for the mighty pull. Gets a big, big top edge which skies straight up. Unadkat himself gets under the ball, fumbles at the first attempt but catches it on the second one as he falls down. Seems to have hurt himself though in the process but nobody's going to mind. Not him, not anybody else. It's the big one. 11 needed off 2 to win now.

Jaydev Unadkat To Rohit Sharma
Great piece of bowling from Unadkat. Seeing Rohit Sharma walk a long way across, the left-arm pacer lands it well outside off, Rohit Sharma leaves it alone and looks to the umpire for the wide. He doesn't get it though. Dot ball. 11 off 3.

Jaydev Unadkat To Rohit Sharma
SIX! Mumbai are still in this. What a hit! Rohit Sharma isn't going to go down without a fight. He walks across to this length ball and heaves across the line. Connects and connects well to send it over the wide long on fence for a maximum. 11 off 4 to win now.
Harbhajan Singh makes his way out to the middle. But Rohit Sharma will take the strike as they crossed. 17 needed off 5 balls.

Jaydev Unadkat To Hardik Pandya OUT!
OUT! Unadkat with the breakthrough! What a brilliant first delivery from Jaydev Unadkat. He bowls a length ball outside off, Pandya slaps it over extra cover. Ben Stokes out in the deep comes running across and dives forward to take an excellent catch. The dangerous Hardik Pandya is out of here, Pune with the edge at the moment.
Jaydev Unadkat to bowl the final over. Can he defend 16?

Outstanding! What an over from Ben Stokes! He hurls it full again, Hardik Pandya can only get an inside edge through square leg for one. Just 7 off the over. Stokes ends with figures of 4-1-21-2. Just what Steven Smith would have wanted from him.

Ben Stokes To Rohit Sharma
Excpetional! Simply brilliant. Could not have asked for a better delivery at this point. Stokes arrows in an excellent yorker on middle and leg, Rohit Sharma can only dig it out right there in front of the stumps. Pandya scurries to the other end and completes the run. Great over so far, this last ball is really crucial.

Ben Stokes To Hardik Pandya
This is good bowling from the Englishman. Bowls a cutter on middle, holds its line as Pandya gets an inside edge onto his pads. Rohit runs to the other end as the ball lobs behind. One more taken.

Good fielding. Too full outside off, Sharma drills it out towards covers, where the fielder makes a good dive to his left to stop it from going past him. Single taken.

Good start. Fuller on leg, goes off Rohit Sharma's pads who looks to play across the line. A leg bye is taken.
Ben Stokes to bowl the penultimate over. 24 needed off 12. This will be an extremely important over. How it goes will determine which way the match swings.

Jaydev Unadkat To Hardik Pandya
FOUR! Back-to-back boundaries for Hardik Pandya! He's on the charge here. Slower short one from Unadkat, Pandya pulls it over mid-wicket and sends it across the boundary line on a few bounces. Crucial over, this. Jaydev needs to finish off well here.
