So, Temba Bavuma finishes his post-match talk and walks forward to collect the trophy. He joins his teammates who are already in position to celebrate. That is all from this game. Hope you all enjoyed the coverage. Time for the T20Is to take place now. The three-match series starts on the 10th of this month at 5.30 pm GMT. Do join us earlier for the build up. Till then, cheers!
Temba Bavuma, the captain of South Africa. He says that the calf is a bit sore but he will get more information once he gets back home. On today's game, he says that it was a poor showing from them and they will have a chat about what went wrong, as this has happened for the second time in a row after sealing a series. Mentions that the intensity wasn't quite there and the dropped catches didn't do them justice either and even the amount of extras that were bowled was not acceptable. Adds that when you're chasing 400-plus, there's no formula for it, but it didn't help that they were one batter short and England put them under pressure as well. Ends by saying that there's been a lot of positives, especially for a fairly inexperienced side and today's performance shouldn't eclipse the good work done in the earlier games.
Harry Brook, the skipper of England! He cites out today's performance as the ultimate team performance and also points out this performance as the blueprint of how they want to play in this format. He believes that they have got a stellar batting lineup and if they get a wicket like, they hold the capacity as a team to score 400-450 runs on a consistent basis. Speaks highly about the experience of Joe Root and Jos Buttler in the middle and also acknowledges the contribution of Jacob Bethell at no.4. Appreciates the bowling duo of Jofra Archer and Brydon Carse, alongside Overton, feels that they have got a frightening bowling attack as well. Ends by saying that they learn from their past mistakes and look to move forward, carrying forward this momentum.
Keshav Maharaj is adjudged the PLAYER OF THE SERIES. He starts by saying that all the hard work is starting to come together but reckons that he still has a long way to go. Adds that he could have done a bit better today but kudos for the English batters for the way they played. Adds that when they are at full strength, they have the variety and depth in the bowling. Mentions that for now, they have to go back to the drawing board but are happy to beat England in their own backyard.
Jofra Archer wins the PLAYER OF THE MATCH AWARD for his stellar spell with the ball. He accepts that he initially thought that bowling in this surface would be a bit difficult for them, after their batters posted 400 runs on the board. He says that he tried to keep things simple and bowl the hard length and get some pace behind it. He also feels that the series has not been well from the team's perspective and they would look to improve on that, but is happy and elated to play all three matches after the injury and contribute from his end.
Joe Root is adjudged England's ODI Player of the summer. He says that the key was to get a couple of big partnerships and with the wind blowing across the ground, they could use one side to their advantage. Reckons that once you get a hundred-run partnership, it gets tough for the opposition to take wickets. On Jacob Bethell, Root says that he is wise beyond his years and is really pleased for him to play an innings like that was great to watch and hopes that he continues in the same way. Adds that once you are content, others will catch up, so the key is to have that motivation and keep improving but also use your experience and use your strengths in tandem with the person at the other end.
Time for the Presentation ceremony...
Earlier, South Africa lacked execution and England pounced on every mistake they made, eventually scoring a humongous total. Joe Root and Jacob Bethell's 182-run partnership was the highlight of the innings but it was Jamie Smith's opening burst and Jos Buttler's brilliant finish that helped England push over 400.
England were playing for pride after losing the series. They put in a special performance in front of the home crowd who will feel, other than the first game, their team played fairly well. Today, the English bowlers had the runs to play but they didn't relax and bowled with a lot of effort. Jofra Archer and Brydon Carse were right on the money with the new ball. They got a lot of extra bounce off the surface which troubled the Proteas batters. Jofra Archer and Brydon Carse bowled in tandem to break South Africa's back inside the Powerplay. The former bowled a 7-over spell, overall picking 4 wickets while Brydon Carse picked 2 wickets. Adil Rashid later spun the web and picked three wickets to end the series on a positive note.
It was always going to be hard for South Africa to chase this mammoth number but to see them fold out by such a low score looks shameful against their name. They needed to set the tone with a bright start but instead lost top four in single digits. Wiaan Mulder replaced Temba Bavuma at number 3, who suffered a calf strain in the first innings but Wiaan Mulder fell without troubling the scorers. The adversity didn't end as South Africa went onto lose 6 wickets inside the Powerplay. Eventually, left with no batters to chase such a score and it was just a process before they folded out for just 72 runs.
South Africa have been bundled out and let alone the overall score, they have failed to beat even Jacob Bethell's maiden ODI century. A thumping performance from England. They were completely beaten in the first game, came back and fairly battled in the second game but ended on the wrong side. However, have absolutely hammered South Africa to end the series on a high.
Temba Bavuma is unfit to take any more part in the match and is given as absent hurt.

Adil Rashid To Corbin Bosch OUT!
OUT! CAUGHT! And with Bavuma not coming to bat, this will be it for South Africa! The Proteas suffer their largest defeat in ODI history by 342 runs. Adil Rashid drops it fuller and around middle, Bosch sits down and decides to play the reverse sweep, but fails to keep it down and lobs it straight to Brydon Carse at backward point. This has been a pure bowling masterclass from England, and they end the ODI series with a thumping win.
