Right then! That's it from this game. Sri Lanka Legends notched up their second win and destroyed England Legends by 7 wickets. More cricketing action coming your way as India Legends face West Indies Legends on 14th September at 7.30 pm IST (2.00 pm GMT). But our build-up begins much sooner, so join us then. From here, it's a goodbye!
Sanath Jayasuriya is the Player of the Match. He says that he has not bowled since the last one year, he thinks it was a great game and he only thought of giving his 100 percent and he enjoyed his bowling. Mentions that last year they played well in this tournament, and he is looking forward on playing well this year also. Further says that his legs are still stiff and therefore he did not open the batting, but from the next game, he will be opening.
Tillakaratne Dilshan the skipper of Sri Lanka Legends says that the bowlers bowled really well. He praises Sanath Jayasuriya for his amazing performance. Adds that they knew the pitch was a bit damp due to the rain and they planned to use it and it worked. Mentions that the team is gelling well and it is important to get wins in the first couple of games in this competition and all their players are performing well. Tells that he always tries to be competitive whenever he plays and he will let his teammates know if they are doing something wrong. Adds that it is an honor to represent his country. Ends by acknowledging the fans for their support for the last few days
Ian Bell the skipper of England Legends says that they looked up to get up to 120 but couldn't reach it. Adds that it was a good toss to win and Sri Lanka Legends used the conditions well. Mentions that he didn't want to miss this opportunity and that he really liked the game. Further says that it's good to play cricket after a long time. End by saying that the result just did not go their way and they need to improve on their batting.
Stay tuned for the presentation...
Earlier in the game, England Legends were asked to bat first and they put on a dismal batting show. The spinners of Sri Lanka Legends used the conditions perfectly and destroyed England Legends' batting line-up. They bundled them out for a mere 78 runs. Sanath Jayasuriya was the leader of the pack, as he ended with 4 wickets in his full quota of overs. The bowlers pretty much set up the game for Sri Lanka Legends, they eventually chased down the target with 7 wickets in hand and with 33 balls to spare.
Sri Lanka Legends began their chase relatively slowly. The openers took their time to settle in, Tillakaratne Dilshan did play a few fine strokes but he perished soon. Dilshan Munaweera and Upul Tharanga then put up a stand of 39 runs, where the latter played some lusty blows towards the end to guide his side close to victory. He was dismissed soon while trying to wrap things up, Dilshan Munaweera too followed him into the pavilion. But the two had already done most of the work in the chase and Jeevan Mendis then hit the winning runs and took Sri Lanka Legends over the line. It was a tough ask for England Legends! Although they did bowl here and made Sri Lanka Legends sweat for every run. The spinners did well, while the pacers were disciplined as well, and together they took 3 wickets in this innings.  Had they had a few more runs on the board, the story could have been slightly different.
As expected, Sri Lanka Legends have chased the target down, but they did so by taking their own sweet time. They were made to work hard for every run and with this, they have grabbed a total of 4 points and have moved to the top of the table for now. While England Legends have commenced their journey in this tournament with a defeat.
