That's it from this game. Bangladesh are in the semi-finals of the Under-19 World cup. They were excellent and they will meet New Zealand. South Africa, on the other hand, were outplayed in all the departments of the game and they will be disappointed with what transpired. On 31st January, Friday, join us for the fourth quarter-final where Pakistan face Afghanistan at 1000 Local (0800 GMT). Until then, goodnight.
Akbar Ali, the Bangladesh skipper says that he is happy with his team's performance. Adds that around 240 was a good total and they had the bowlers to defend it. Mentions that the team showed character and he is happy that his team reached the semi-final. Credits the batters for doing well and gives a special mention to Rakibul Hasan.
Bryce Parsons, the South African captain says that Bangladesh batted and bowled really well. Adds that they were happy chasing 261. Mentions that they wanted to keep wickets in hand. Parsons also says that they lost wickets at regular intervals and that was the reason for their loss. Ends by saying that they had a fine campaign.
The Man of the Match, Rakibul Hasan says that he thanks the almighty God. Adds that his plan was to bowl wicket-to-wicket and that worked well. Mentions that bowling tight line and lengths was the key on this wicket.
Earlier in the day, Bangladesh batted well and scored 261 which proved to be enough on this wicket which helped the bowlers. There were three batsmen who scored above fifty and that was the difference between the two sides. The hosts bowled decently but in the death overs, they gave away some runs and in the end, the target proved to be more than enough. Pheku Moletsane was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up two wickets and bowled economically as well. Stay tuned for the presentation ceremony.
South Africa, on the other hand, were poor with the bat. They never got going in their chase. The openers started well but once Khanya Cotani gave his wicket away, it was a procession. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and no one apart from Luke Beaufort, seemed to have the stomach for a fight. Beaufort scored a valiant 60 and had a little too much to do in the end. He fell and it just took 2 more balls for the Bangla Tigers to finish things off. There was not a single partnership above fifty and that tells you the story.
Bangladesh fans rejoice! What a performance from the young Bangla Tigers. They were excellent right from the start and they deserve every bit of this victory. The bowlers were right on the money from the start and every bowler bowled extremely well. Rakibul Hasan led the way with an excellent 5-fer and gave away just 19 runs in 9.3 overs. The other spinners too bowled extremely well and they did not give any easy runs to South Africa. The performance of the bowlers along with the batters has led Bangladesh to the semi-finals.

Rakibul Hasan To Mondli Khumalo OUT!
OUT! RUN OUT! What a victory for Bangladesh. Tossed up delivery on off, Khumalo flicks it towards short fine leg and goes for the single. Hasan Murad fires a throw at the bowler's end where Rakibul Hasan takes the bails off. Replays show that Khumalo is well short of his crease. BANGLADESH WIN BY 104 RUNS!
