It was a David Wiese show with the ball as he was the one to change the game. In his second over, he sent back Johnson Charles, Shai Hope and Glenn Phillips and then returned to send back Holder. He bowled the last over as well and took the wicket of Hayden Walsh. He was simply sensational and is the contender for the Man of the Match award. He was well supported by the other bowlers as well. Jeavor Royal started well but then took a pasting from Jason Holder but overall, it was a very good effort in the field by Saint Lucia Kings.
Barbados Royals did not get off to the best of starts as Kyle Mayers lost his wicket early but then Johnson Charles and Shai Hope came together and put Barbados in the ascendancy but then Charles gave it away after playing a decent knock and that opened the floodgates. They lost Phillips and Hope in the same over as Charles and it was always going to be difficult after that, even with DLS coming in. Holder did threaten them for a bit but once he fell, Walsh took over and took them close. In the end, it was a target too big for the Royals.
An excellent win for Saint Lucia Kings and they will be pleased with the effort they have put in this game. Barbados Royals, on the other hand, were really disappointing with the bat especially and now they have no chance of qualifying for the playoffs.
