Gujarat Titans beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets
Right then! That is all we have from this game but the second game on Super Saturday between Rajasthan and Mumbai which is dedicated to former Aussie great and Rajasthan skipper, Shane Warne is underway. Rajasthan are batting first in that one. You can switch tabs and enjoy that match. Cheers!
Rahul Tewatia has been adjudged the PLAYER OF THE MATCH (43 off 25 balls) for his match-winning antics yet again.
Well, there are not enough words at the moment to describe this Gujarat team. They look down and out at times but in the end, they just find a way to win matches. Wriddhiman Saha got his side off to a flier but his partner Shubman Gill struggled. Both of them fell and Sai Sudharsan and Hardik Pandya soon followed suit. But then David Miller and Rahul Tewatia added on a match-winning partnership of 79 runs to get the job done once again in the final over. The composure shown by both batters shows how confident they are and this is what a winning run does.
Bangalore were definitely a few runs short at the halfway stage and it has cost them dearly in the end. They also failed to pick up wickets in the Powerplay which allowed the opposition to get off to a good start. The wickets did come in the middle overs and Shahbaz Ahmed bowled exceptionally well. Wanindu Hasaranga too picked up a couple of important wickets. At the death though, the experienced trio of Mohammed Siraj, Harshal Patel and Josh Hazlewood just couldn't stem the flow of boundaries and Bangalore succumbed to a third defeat in a row.
Guess what? Gujarat have done it again! Rahul Tewatia and David Miller have pulled off yet another heist for Gujarat to make it 8 wins out of 9 nine and no team in the history of the competition has had more points after nine matches than Gujarat.

FOUR LEG BYES! Bangalore took the review but in the end it is four leg byes and Gujarat now need 43 runs from 24 balls! A fullish delivery, around off. Rahul Tewatia gets across and looks to paddle it, he misses. The ball hits his pads and goes towards the fine leg fence. However. Bangalore take a review and the UltraEdge shows no bat involved. The Ball Tracker rolls in and it shows that the ball is missing the off stump. So four runs for Gujarat.
Faf du Plessis asks the keeper if there is glove involved but eventually does go for the review for an lbw decision. The third umpire checks UltraEdge and finds no bat involved. Ball Tracking shows that everything is good but the ball is missing off stump by a fair bit. NOT OUT is the decision and Tewatia will carry on.

An update to clear all the confusion regarding the previous no ball. The on-air commentator, Simon Doull reads out the rule that basically states that the wicket-keeper needs to have his gloves behind the stumps from the moment the ball comes into play which is when the bowler starts his run-up. So, the call was spot on from the third umpire.

Shubman Gill after a slow start was just starting to find his stride but has got out at the wrong time.
