Chandigarh:
Tight security arrangements were in place in Chandigarh as the Indian and Australian cricket teams arrived on Saturday for their crucial fourth ODI to be played on Monday.
The match will be played at the picturesque Sector 16 stadium, which will host an ODI after over 14 years.
After their arrival from Hyderabad, the teams were taken to Taj hotel amid tight security. Both sides will have practice sessions on Sunday.
India is 2-0 down in the seven-match ODI series.
The first tie at Bangalore was abandoned due to rain, while India lost the second and third ODIs played at Kochi and Hyderabad.
Punjab Governor and Chandigarh administrator SF Rodrigues on Saturday reviewed security and other arrangements at the stadium.
He asked officials and police to ensure that the event went off smoothly and that spectators were not put to any inconvenience.
He directed officials to set up a crisis management cell to meet any eventuality during the match.
He asked the police to set up adequate barricades and check-points to control enthusiastic crowds while being humane and tactful.
Haryana Cricket Association (HCA) president Ranbir Singh Mahendra said that all efforts were being made to match international standards for the tie.
