Vijay Kumar shot a total of 555 points in the two qualification rounds to finish seventh and miss out on a place in the final round.

Glasgow:

Olympic silver medallist marksman Vijay Kumar today made a shock exit in the qualification round of the men's 25m rapid fire pistol event of the 20th Commonwealth Games after finishing seventh here. (Day 6 developments)

Vijay shot a total of 555 points in the two qualification rounds to finish seventh and miss out on a place in the final round. The top six in the qualification round qualify for the final round.

Another Indian in fray, Harpreet Singh topped the qualification stage with a total of 573 points with 14 hits at the bulls eye followed by Australian duo of Bruce Quick (572) and David J Chapman (568).
