Mary Kom said the students will face lots of hurdles in life but everything can be overcome successfully with the help of dedication and hard work.

Any hurdles, including financial, can be overcome in life with utmost dedication and hard work, boxing icon MC Mary Kom said today.

She was in the district along with Union Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Sarbananda Sonowal to inaugurate an indoor stadium at BH College.

Mary Kom said the students will face lots of hurdles in life but everything can be overcome successfully with the help of dedication and hard work.

She gave example of her own life and said that she was under tremendous financial crisis but could rise because she loved the game and worked hard.

Mary Kom also advocated the return of complete peace and harmony in the North East for overall growth of the region.

The students union of BH College donated Rs 1 lakh to the 'Mary Kom Boxing Foundation'.
