Indian boxers continued to pack a punch at the AIBA Women's Junior World Championships with three more assuring themselves of medals by advancing to the semifinals here on Wednesday.
Savita (50 kg), Mandeep Sandhu (52 kg), Sakshi (54 kg) and entered the last-four stage on a good day for the Indians.
Soniya (48 kg) and Niharika Gonnella (70 kg) had advanced to the semis yesterday and today's results took the Indian presence in the semis to five.
Savita defeated Russia's Rodionova Valeriia 3-0, while Mandeep got the better of Hungarian Nagy Angela by a similar margin.
However, in the 60kg category, Nisha lost 0-3 to American Gutierrez Guadalupe, while in the 80+ kg division, Naganika Gonella was outpunched 0-3 by Germany's Morka Jessica.
