Danny Williams sets sights on WBC title

Danny Williams would fight Mike Tyson again but prefers a title bout against World Boxing Council heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko. Williams was back in England on Monday after his shock win over Tyson and announced his desire to take on Klitschko on arrival at London's Heathrow airport. New-found status It's been just over a week since the 31 year old Williams floored the so called "baddest man on the planet", in the fourth round of their fight in Louisville, Kentucky. "Unbelievable. But I've got to keep my head on the floor and move on to higher and better things," said Williams. Trading on his new-found status, Williams took time out to sign autographs and chat with well wishers. The homesick heavyweight was clearly relishing the attention. So what next for Williams? A rematch with Tyson or a crack at the big one? "My next fight I've got to be impressive and so you know they're talking about a re-match with Mike Tyson or a fight with Evander Holyfield or Vitali Klitchsko. Whoever it is, I've got to perform and box well," he said. Title goal Tyson's camp are angling for a re-match after their man underwent surgery on a knee injury but Williams would prefer to try and tempt Klitschko into the ring. He has set his sights on the WBC crown. "That's the one I want. That's the one I want. That's the one Ali had, all the great guys so I'd love to have that one," he said. Danny Williams has seen his life change dramatically over the course of the past week. A big pay day with Vitali Klitschko might not appear so fanciful as it seems. As he showed against Tyson, Williams has a good chin, plenty of stamina and a knockout punch. (AP)
