Currently ranked no. 3 in the world in men’s doubles, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and partner Chirag Shetty are synonymous to each other. The pair, commonly called ‘Satwik-Chirag’, achieved the no. 1 ranking in October 2023. Heading into Paris 2024, many expect Satwik-Chirag to return with a medal around their necks after the summer.

Be it the 2022 Thomas Cup, 2022 Asian Games or the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Satwik-Chirag have a gold next to their name. Such has been their form and consistency that not winning a medal at Paris 2024 could be seen as an abject failure from the duo.

Although the duo crashed out in the group stage at Tokyo 2020, they could well go the distance this time around.

Hailing from Amalapuram, Andhra Pradesh, Satwik was bestowed with the Arjuna Award in 2020 and the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna award in 2023.
