Saina Nehwal, grappling with inconsistent form and injuries, has taken some time off to shoot an advertisement with Bollywood star Irrfan Khan. Details of the shoot were not available but the duo is seen on a table full of green vegetables.

Saina's endorsements are managed by IOS Sports and Entertainment. In August last year, she signed up with IOS for a two-year deal worth Rs 25 Crore. Saina is among the highest paid woman athletes in India. Boxer Mary Kom earns Rs 4 crore-Rs 6 crore a year from endorsements and appearances.
Saina is hand-picking her tournaments to stay fully fit for the 2016 Rio Olympics in August. Saina had won the bronze medal in the 2012 London Olympics.
Next stop in Saina's schedule will be the Badminton Asia Championships in the Wuhan, China from April 26-May 1. She had skipped the Superseries in Singapore this week to train with her coach Vimal Kumar in Bangalore.
Saina's ranking has plummeted from No. 1 to No. 8. She has been bothered by an ankle injury and hasn't won anything major in her last four events.
