Tajikistan Footballer Banned in First Doping Case at Asian Games 2014
The Olympic Council of Asia on Wednesday said Khurshed Beknazarov failed a test on September 14, five days before the opening ceremony. The soccer competition kicked off before the games were officially opened.

Asian Games organisers have confirmed a football player from Tajikistan tested positive for a banned stimulant in the first doping case at Incheon.
The Olympic Council of Asia on Wednesday said Khurshed Beknazarov failed a test on September 14, five days before the opening ceremony. The soccer competition kicked off before the games were officially opened. (Day 5 Live Updates)

The OCA said Beknazarov has been disqualified from the games and the findings would be forwarded to football world governing body FIFA and to the World Anti-Doping Agency.
Organisers planned to conduct 1,920 doping tests during the Incheon Games, an increase on the 1,500 collected at the 2010 Games at Guangzhou, China.
