Asian Games: Judoka Rajwinder Kaur Loses in Repechage Round

In another poor showing by India's judo contingent, Glasgow Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Rajwinder Kaur fell in the women's +78kg category final of repechage round in the 17th Asian Games at the Dowon Gymnasium here on Monday. (Day 3 Blog | Medal Tally)

However, India have failed to win even a single medal from judo at the Incheon Games and Rajwinder's ouster by Kyrgyzstan's Nagira Sarbashova was the latest bad news for the contingent.
The 30-year-old was beaten by Mongolia's Javzmaa Odkhu in the +78 kg quarters and went into the repechage to fight for a place in the bronze medal match. (Read: Indian Men's Football Team Ousted)
The Kyrgyz athlete put in a dominant performance and defeated the Indian by Ippon with 'Kiken gachi'.
