ENG vs AUS, 4th Ashes Test, Day 2 Highlights: Zak Crawley's quickfire 189, his maiden Ashes hundred, fuelled a dramatic England run spree on Thursday's second day of the fourth Test at Old Trafford. England were 384-4 at stumps in reply to Australia's first innings 317, a lead of 67 runs in a match they must win to maintain their hopes of regaining the Ashes at 2-1 down with two to play. Crawley and Joe Root, who scored 84, shared a partnership of 206 runs in just 29 overs. That stand came after Crawley and Moeen Ali (54) had previously put on 121 for the second wicket. Harry Brook was 14 not out at the close, with England captain Ben Stokes unbeaten on 24. (SCORECARD)

Pretty sure the Aussies will be mentally and physically drained. They were not out there for a very long time but they just looked puzzled. The fielding, the bowling just was not upto the mark and now they have a stiff challenge ahead of them. They trail by over 250 on a wicket which is offering something for the bowlers and if they are to avoid an innings defeat, they will have to bat well. Stay tuned for the reply.

End of a brilliant, brilliant batting performance from England! They have managed to score at over 5 per over throughout and have taken a massive lead! It was Zak Crawley who was the star for them on Day 2 as he scored a brilliant ton in no time. He was well supported by Moeen Ali and then Root. The likes of Ben Stokes and Harry Brook continued the good work from the top order Both got to fifties before they fell. Then it was the Bairstow show. Along with the tail, he added handy runs. Smashed the bowlers all around the park. Seemed all set for a well-deserved ton but it was not to be as Anderson was trapped in front. Still, an excellent job from the English batters and they have given their side a serious chance to win this despite the poor forecast ahead.

OUT! THREE REDS! Jonny Bairstow, heartbreak for him as he is left stranded on 99! Fuller and on middle, James Anderson shuffles across and looks to flick but misses. It hits the pad. A huge appeal and up goes the finger. Anderson reviews but in vain. ENGLAND HAVE BEEN BOWLED OUT OR 592!
