Don't Want Dope Shame in Rio, Want Clean Athletes: Sports Minister

Sports minister Vijay Goel has made it clear that only ‘clean’ athletes will represent India at the Rio Games. The minister said it is the responsibility of the National Anti-Doping Agency to ensure that all sportspersons representing the country at the Olympics are drug-free. He said the law will take its course in dealing with drug cheats and those who have conspired to shame Rio-bound athletes like shot-putter Inderjeet Singh and wrestler Narsingh Yadav.
