... THE RUN CHASE ...
-
!
Right then, 126 runs are needed for Mumbai to win which is a similar total to the one they themselves scored and almost defended a few days back. It seems like a low score but in a pressure game and on a surface like this, Bangalore might have an outside chance. Will Mumbai be able to keep their calm and complete the job? Hang tight, as the exciting and vital run chase is up next.

Bangalore will be a touch disappointed with that batting display as they were on a bit of a roll coming into this game. Sophie Devine getting out for a duck didn't help their cause and once again skipper Smriti Mandhana couldn't convert the start she got, getting out to a spinner. Ellyse Perry played another handy knock in the middle overs to keep the scoreboard ticking and a blistering cameo of 29 runs from 13 runs from Richa Ghosh was enough to get Bangalore to over the 120-run mark. They will be aware of the fact that the wicket isn't easy to bat on and will try to give it their all with the ball and in the field.

Mumbai's decision to bowl first turned out to be a good one as they were able to dismiss Sophie Devine in the very first over itself. Amelia Kerr, the inflicter of that run out then bowled a sublime spell to pick up three wickets and all the other bowlers supported her extremely well. The likes of Natalie Sciver-Brunt and Issy Wong too were able to pick up a couple of wickets each and managed to restrict Bangalore to an under-par total, one that their batters will be confident of chasing down.

!
A clinical display with the ball from Mumbai in a vital game for them and they will be pretty content at the halfway stage. It is now up to their batters to go out and try to chase this one down in a hurry to bolster their net run rate.
