Fourth-seeded Andy Murray moved into the US Open fourth round by beating No. 25 Feliciano Lopez 6-1, 6-4, 6-2 on Sunday.
Murray is a three-time Grand Slam finalist, including at Flushing Meadows in 2008, but is still seeking Britain's first major championship in men's singles since 1936.
He improved to 6-0 against Lopez, including a victory in the Wimbledon quarterfinals this year.
Murray made only 16 unforced errors Sunday, while Lopez had 44.
Murray's next opponent is 84th-ranked Donald Young of the United States.
