Clavicular for Streamer of the Year? Ludwig Doubles Down As He Blames The Backlash On HasanAbi’s Fans

Ludwig is standing by his decision to name Braden “Clavicular” as one of his picks for Streamer of the Year 2026, even after the choice brought backlash. During a response on September 14, Ludwig said he felt fine about what he had said and wasn't bothered by being “dragged” over the opinion. He also suggested that part of the criticism came from HasanAbi's audience, saying, “Hasan's fans don't like me.”

The whole thing started with a 44-second clip from Ludwig's Just Chatting livestream that surfaced on X on September 12. In the clip, he listed Kai Cenat, IShowSpeed, Stable Ronaldo, Jynxzi and Clavicular as the five streamers he would nominate. His reason for putting Clavicular there was pretty direct: Ludwig believed he had “the largest impact” on culture from the streaming space. That choice, he admitted, could “ruffle some feathers.”

Ludwig says backlash does not change his opinion

Ludwig addressed the criticism while hosting Mogul Money Live on September 14. He said he had deleted X from his phone, so he doesn't really know what happens on the platform, but that hasn't changed his position.

His response went beyond simply defending Clavicular. Ludwig said he doesn't care much about being dragged online, explaining that his bigger concern is being valuable to people he loves and to his local community. He also said he believes there can be a “conflation” around what streamer awards are supposed to recognize, suggesting that the focus can shift depending on how awards are viewed.

Why Hasan got mentioned in Ludwig's response

Ludwig then connected some of the backlash to his ongoing “beef” with Hasan, whom he referred to as his “co-worker.” He argued that some people criticizing him were not regular viewers but were instead farming a clip on Twitter.

That led to his blunt comment about Hasan's audience. Ludwig said, “Hasan's fans don't like me,” before adding that he is okay with them not liking him and believes they are allowed to express that.

Kaceytron Challenges Ludwig's Hasan Explanation

Kacey “Kaceytron” also weighed in, but she questioned why Hasan was brought into the discussion at all. According to her, Ludwig was “once again taking shots at Hasan to take the heat off of himself.”

Kaceytron also claimed Ludwig's own chat had been upset about him praising Clavicular, arguing that the Hasan connection did not explain that criticism. She described the move as Ludwig making “Mogul moves” while also calling him a fence sitter.

Ludwig had not responded to Kaceytron's comments as of the latest information available. That leaves her criticism as the newest development in the back-and-forth, while Ludwig's original Clavicular nomination remains the opinion he says he stands by.
