Arsenal's wait for Champions League glory will continue. They reached their first final in 20 years, took the lead very early, but failed to hold on. The narrowest way to lose, no less. Heartbreak for Gabriel, who has arguably been their best player this season. Mikel Arteta and co. will celebrate the Premier League title in their trophy parade tomorrow, but today's loss will surely leave a sour taste in their mouths.

After winning it for the first time in 2025, PSG have now gone back-to-back. They become only the second club in the Champions League era to win the trophy in consecutive years. Luis Enrique and his boys have done it again!

Lucas Beraldo scores, Gabriel misses! PSG - UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE WINNERS! Gabriel Magalhaes fires it over the bar, and it's complete heartbreak for Arsenal. PSG beat Arsenal 4-3 on penalties.

3-3! Achraf Hakimi steps up and scores for PSG. Gabriel Martinelli then thunders his spotkick into the top corner for Arsenal. 

David Raya saves! A stunning dive to his left to prevent Nuno Mendes from the spot. Declan Rice then steps up for Arsenal, and converts his penalty. It is 2-2 after three penalties each.

Eberechi Eze misses! Arsenal's big summer signing with a hesitant run-up and he fires wide! He shoots it to the left, but misses the target completely. PSG are now 2-1 up, because Desire Doue converted from the spot.

First penalty: GOAL! Goncalo Ramos steps up first for Paris Saint-Germain, and he sends David Raya the wrong way. Good penalty from the Portuguese.

Viktor Gyokeres is up first for Arsenal... and he scores!

PENALTIES it is. 120 minutes have been completed. PSG and Arsenal are inseparable. Time for spotkicks to decide the Champions League final, after 10 years. PSG fighting for back-to-back titles. Arsenal eyeing their first-ever European Cup.

A minute later, Viktor Gyokeres takes a shot from the edge of the box, but it's deflected behind for a corner. Arteta appeals for a hand ball.

We are just about 10 minutes away from kick-off at the Puskas Arena in Hungary. A huge crowd is expected for the biggest match in club football! Grab your popcorn folks, action is about to start.

This match has been touted as a battle between fire and ice. PSG's vibrant attack against Arsenal's rock-solid defence is the contest that everyone is looking forward to. 

However, the two aspects contribute heavily in the other department too! The likes of Dembele and Kvaratskhelia are superb pressers, starting the PSG defence from attack. Arsenal centre-backs William Saliba and Gabriel are huge threats in the opposition box!

Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been one of the best players in the Champions League this season. He is PSG's top-scorer in the 2025-26 season, with 10 goals. Ousmane Dembele, the Ballon d'Or winner, is not far behind with seven strikes!

Mikel Arteta's call to bench Viktor Gyokeres and start Kai Havertz will certainly raise eyebrows. Arsenal's big-money summer signing will come off the bench tonight. It is interesting that Arsenal are starting without their two top-scorers in the UCL this season: Gabriel Martinelli (6 goals) and Gyokeres (5).

Paris Saint-Germain are looking to do what only one club has done in the Champions League era -- win the title back-to-back. Only Real Madrid have done it in recent history. After winning the Champions League for the first time in 2025, Luis Enrique's side will be fresh and geared up to make club history again.

Arsenal are playing the Champions League final after 20 years! The last time they played was in 2006, back when the manager was Arsene Wenger and the star player was Thierry Henry. That time, Arsenal lost 2-1. Can Arteta guide them to European Cup glory for the first time in their history?
