Paris:
Czech fourth seed Petra Kvitova became the latest big name to be knocked out of the French Open on Monday, going down in three sets to Switzerland's Timea Bacsinszky in the fourth round.
The 23rd seed fought back from a set down to win 2-6, 6-0, 6-3 in a ding-dong encounter on Court Suzanne Lenglen that finished in fading light after 9pm local time.
Bacsinszky goes into her first Grand Slam quarter-final, where she will meet unseeded Belgian Alison Van Uytvanck.
