Paris: Men's number two seed Andy Roddick was on cruise control as he swept into the second round of French Open. He defeated another French wild card, the big-serving Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 in a match that lasted just an hour and three quarters but contained some quality tennis. Roddick will next meet the unseeded Argentine Jose Acasuso for a place in round three, as he strives to add the French Open championship to his only Grand Slam title thus far, his US Open triumph of 2003.
