The quarter-final matches of the Japan Women's Open tennis tournament were postponed until Saturday due to steady rain, organisers said on Friday.
Defending champion Tamarine Tanasugarn of Thailand will play third seed Angelique Kerber of Germany on Saturday, while US Open champion Samantha Stosur of Australia will take on Chanelle Scheepers of South Africa.
Former champion Marion Bartoli of France will meet Japan's Ayumi Morita, and Petra Cetkovska of the Czech Republic will play China's Zheng Jie.
